Using this interactive website, the Homechoice Partnership gives you the chance to apply for a new home to rent or buy with a housing association and select the properties you want to be considered for.  Use this web site to:

• Search for available homes  and apply for a property

• View results of previous lettings

• Download an application form

• Find out about other housing options

• Make contact with tenants willing to exchange homes
  

• Be considered for a selection of social rented homes in other parts of Oxfordshire (from 2009)

About Homechoice South Oxfordshire

Homechoice South Oxfordshire is part of a partnership between four Councils in Oxfordshire and a large number of  their housing association partners. By coming together to form Oxfordshire Homechoice, we are able to offer those looking for an affordable home, a much wider choice of housing and an easier way of being considered for vacant properties as they arise.  List partners.

More choice over housing offers

Using the Homechoice service gives you more choice in deciding where you want to live.  Instead of waiting for an offer of accommodation by one of the partners you can see which properties are coming vacant and ask to be put forward for them. Properties that are available for rent and shared ownership will be advertised each fortnight. We will also advertise mutual exchange offers by other tenants.

You can tell us which properties you are interested in. This is known as ‘bidding’ but it won’t cost you a penny.  Before you can bid for a property you must be accepted onto the Homechoice register.

A wider choice of areas

If you are interested in moving to a neighbouring council area you will be able to bid for a selection of properties in the Oxford City, Cherwell and Vale of White Horse districts. (This service will begin in early 2009). You will be able to bid for these properties without having to register again with those councils.

Help with looking at other solutions

Not everyone will be successful in getting a social rented home. Demand is much greater than the number of vacancies. This website has useful information to help you decide where to look for a suitable home.
